Sign up form redesign
Zapier
Content Design
Business Need: The sign up page is one of the most important pages to Zapier, however, the form was not clear and didn't follow content and UX best practices. We needed to update the form to ensure it was not a point of friction for new users.

Approach: Audited the form and provided recommendations to the EPD team for what should be fixed. Mocked up the screens in figma and added updated copy and recommended design/UX changes. Iterated and collaborated with the EPD to understand techinical and design limitations.
Outcome: The new form was a big improvement and we saw less drop off from users when signing up.
Original: Form has asterisks and text saying required, however, there is nothing indicating what the asterisk means.

Update: Added copy indicating what the asterisk means and removed the redundant "required" text. Repositioned terms and conditions before the consent button, and added a login option for existing users instead of hiding it in the top right.
Original: When entering a password, the password requirements are hard to follow and there is too much copy. The red text makes everything look like an error and it doesn't tell you the requirements up front.

Update: I proposed displaying password requirements upfront as scannable bullets with real-time checkmarks (✓) or X's as users type, reducing cognitive load while clearly showing what's expected. I also streamlined the email section by removing the "Not right?" link since users can go back.

Messenger Community Chats
Meta
Content Design
Business Need: Increase adoption of the newly launched community chats product. I was tasked with creating copy to explain the benefits of creating a community chat to admins to get them to use the feature.

Approach: Collaborated with product to understand goals and UX research to understand what users were saying about the product. I created several versions of copy and shared them in our content crit. I took the feedback and iterated on the copy.
Outcome: The feature launched to a subset of community admins and contributed to an 150% month-over-month increase in chat creation.

Design System Documentation Website Redesign
Best Buy
Information Architecture, Navigation, UX, Content Design
Business Need: To redo an outdated documentation site for the design system that is easy to use, intuitive, works for both designers and engineers, and is visually appealing.
Miro board of research

Approach: Conducted research on best practices and industry standards for design system documentation sites (Miro board image above). This allowed me to see what others were doing as well as to understand the design system documentation landscape. In addition, I attended a Brad Frost design system workshop, which armed me with even further knowledge. I then began working on restructuring the navigation.

Internal user research: I conducted a card sort with users of the website. From there, I used those results combined with best practices to come up with a revised navigation structure and taxonomy.

Wireframe: I created a low-fidelity wireframe to show the content hierarchy, navigation, and layout for the homepage. I reviewed with the team, received feedback and went back to iterate on the design, navigation and content as shown in the 2nd draft wireframe.
Outcome: Next step in the process is to have a final round of feedback and iteration, create wireframes of remaining page categories, finalize navigation and to conduct a content audit and content plan.
2nd Draft Wireframe
After reviewing the 1st draft with the team, I went back and incorporated feedback and updated the wire
